Is it possible to enter into a home-based MLM business opportunity over the Internet? Why not? Everything is possible with the participation of Internet especially in the modern business transactions.
So what does it mean to be in a home based business?
First Home-based MLM business opportunities are network marketing. It is composed of uplines and downlines. Being an upline doesn’t mean you will earn more money than downlines. This is a huge misconception in this industry.
Uplines are independent representatives who recruit another independent representative which they will use in the direct selling of goods and services to customers.
With that definition, the new independent representative is now an upline to any other new distributor he/she brings to his or her business and it goes on and on unto infinity.
Put simply, the recruiter is the upline. They get their commission on the sales of the other independent representatives and each new independent representative can choose to be an upline, remain a loyal consumer or become a downline and just retail the company’s product without building a team of other independent representatives. Home-based MLM business opportunity is a commission-based joint effort of uplines and downlines.
What does this mean? It means that both parties share the same significance to the entire group.
If you do not have recruited independent representatives or if they are not working effectively, there will be no income, no consumption of products and services, no one to market the products and services and no one will cater the customers.
But is home-based MLM business opportunity feasible and profitable? How can one succeed in this kind of business?

Now most will say, well duh.. but majority of people will just jump into a company because of HYPE and FLUFFS. They simply hear about an amazing compensation plan and they rush right in and get wiped out.
So a couple of things you want to have at the back of your mind.
- Make sure the company or product matches your core value (You MUST be passionate about the product and your goals and that of the company must match). If you are not passionate about the product you won’t be able to retail it effectively. You must personally believe in your products
- Make sure they have leaders in the company who are really devoted to changing the lives of people with their products and with real life education.
- Make sure they have leaders that are PERSONALLY committed to teaching you their marketing secrets- If your Up line has no marketing skills or isn’t willing to invest time in showing you how to build and duplicate, you basically have been screwed BIG. This is why most people fail in Network marketing… no marketing training
- The company’s products must have a really good market; preferably look for a company that has a developing trend… (Huge secret… Baby boomers are about to retire and the U.S dollar is about to COLLAPSE… something to think about)
Home Based Business Tips #2- Maintain the minimum sales required.
Home-based MLM business opportunities are so simple yet requires careful analysis of the sales income. You have to be a mathematician on this part to be able to tally your expenses and revenues.
Everyday, independent representatives market the products and services. So make it a habit to tally the income entering everyday and the expenses leaving every hour.
Home Based Business Tips #3- Provide your TEAM/Downlines with a Marketing System.
If you are new to this industry and have been advised by your Upline to write a list of people you know and go out there and promote the business, you probably know that is not fun at all and A LOT of people even your own family members would ridicule you. If you know that is a hard way to market then why allow your team suffer the same thing?
